We Three Kings, written by John Henry Hopkins Jr. in 1857, is one of the few Christmas carols that tells the story of the Magi’s journey. With its minor key and exotic feel, the hymn brings a sense of mystery and reverence to the season. This brass quintet arrangement captures both the solemn procession and the grandeur of the moment when the wise men find the newborn King but…well..it’s a swingin’ story!
This is a fun jazz piece!
