Description
The Love of God is a flexible woodwind quartet / woodwind ensemble arrangement from the Woodwind Ensemble Series, designed around four independent parts that can be mixed and matched to fit the players you have available.
Think of the arrangement like a musical jigsaw puzzle: as long as you have one player covering each of the four parts, the arrangement works. That means it can function as a traditional woodwind quartet with four players or expand into a larger woodwind ensemble without changing the basic musical structure.
You can also double parts to create different textures and colors. For example, flute and oboe might both play Part 1 while clarinet plays Part 2, or multiple instruments can share any of the four lines to create a fuller ensemble sound.
This makes the series especially useful for churches, schools, community ensembles, and other groups where the exact woodwind instrumentation may vary from one performance to the next.
Flexible 4-part woodwind scoring:
Use one instrument on each of Parts 1–4 to create the basic ensemble, then add additional players by doubling any of the parts.
The result is a highly flexible woodwind quartet arrangement that can grow into a larger woodwind ensemble while preserving the same four-part musical structure. What amazing lyrics proclaiming the vastness of God’s love!
This beautiful arrangement will work well as an offertory, invitational hymn, or prelude. Very meditative, but builds to tell of God’s great love. Grade 2
