I admit it, I’m a John Mayer music fan. I like the feel of his songs. This arrangement is a cross between John Mayer and Tom Petty.

This great worship song slots really well in this style and the flugelhorn seems like he was just built to play this tune. There are some powerful moments in the middle and the accordion really adds to the feel. The written out piano/keys part includes the accordion part written out completely to play live on an accordion or keyboard.

This arrangement is in the key of G

Instrumentation Descriptions:

Guitars:
The Electric and Acoustic Guitar have a ‘laid back, driving feel.’ It really is a John Mayer/Tom Petty sort of feel for this tune.

Piano/Keys:
This arrangement utilizes an accordion to create a contemporary, folk feel. The feel of this song works so well when you use accordion. The accordion part is written out to be played live on accordion or on keyboard with an accordion patch. If you can find an accordion anywhere (make an announcement one Sunday), your piano player CAN PLAY this part on accordion. It’s just one handed piano parts played on the accordion. Everbody will love the addition of the accordion in this tune.

Drums:
This is a cool, laid back groove for the drummer. Once he gets the feel going, he can just lay back and let her roll.

Bass:
This is a simple tune for the bass player. Once he gets used to the pattern, he will probably have this tune memorized quickly. A written out bass part with chords is provided (‘could’ use synth bass if you don’t have a live one).

Horn Section:
The horns will really enjoy this arrangement. This has the Chicago horn section feel that every brass player has dreamed of playing. The licks are easy to play and they slot so well with the rhythm section. The flugel horn sits well with this melody and will create a very mellow vibe on this tune.

Instrumentation is: 2 trumpets, alto sax, tenor sax, 2 trombones and rhythm section. A written out piano part AND bass part are provided with this arrangement. For copyright reasons, this arrangement can only be shipped (no download/email).

There is a congregational version of every arrangement included as well that includes a lead vocal line. Use the instrumental feature version as an opener to the service and then use the congregational version during the worship service.

All arrangements are $40 each, which includes the Full Instrumental Feature version AND the Congregational Version.
