This is a fun 12/8 tune that is an alto saxophone feature. It starts out so laid back and builds through the bridge to a key change with the whole horn section in unison that is POWERFUL!. There is energy in this tune.
This arrangement is in the key of G/C
The Acoustic Guitar will be strumming throughout, really helping to drive this arrangement. The Electric Guitar has a couple of different things going on throughout the song with some huge power chords near the end.
The piano player will really love this arrangement. He really sets the groove on this tune. The piano part is written out in case your piano player is not able to simply play off a chord chart.
This is really a grooving tune for the drummer to play. Have him listen to the recording and he will absolutely know what to do. Tell him to cut loose at the end!
This is a straight forward rock groove for the bass player. He will help the piano player keep his groove going on throughout this tune. A written out bass part with chords is provided (‘could’ use synth bass if you don’t have a live one).
The horns are extremely powerful in this arrangement, but in a Chicago horn section sort of way. There are some really cool licks that they will LOVE playing in this tune. For those players who have dreamed of playing in a group like Chicago, this is, without a doubt, the song for them.
